Purim Party – Burning Bush Ministries Friday, March 3 6:00-8:00 pm in the Worship Center Purim is one of the most joyous and fun holidays on the Jewish calendar. It commemorates a time when the Jewish people living in Persia were saved from extermination. The Book of Esther, famous for being the only book of the Bible that does not contain the name of God, has a wonderful Messianic promise. Come and celebrate its fulfillment in Y’shua, Jesus. Esther 9:22 tells us to bring gifts of food for one another, and gifts for the poor. So bring something to share (potluck) and a canned good or an offering to benefit a local food bank. We’ll make sure there’s Hamantashen* for all. Enjoy the Purim Spiel…the Book of Esther…with stomping, noisemakers, and incredible acting from our melodramatic children (both young and old)! *Hamantashen (Haman’s hat): traditional three-cornered pastry with a filling (such as poppy seeds or jam) eaten to signify the “gobbling up” of Haman.
